The United Way of Bucks County is hosting their Annual Breakfast & Awards on Friday, May 4, at Spring Mill Manor in Ivyland.

The annual breakfast is one of UW Bucks’ largest events of the year, bringing together hundreds of donors, advocates, and volunteers to celebrate the ways in which UW Bucks and its supporters are changing lives together in the community. Tickets are on sale now for $40 (or $320 for a table of 10) at www.uwbucks.org/annualbreakfast and all proceeds benefit the Community Impact Fund.

The event includes breakfast and will feature awards, prizes, and surprises. UW Bucks will highlight the opportunities to get involved in 2018, including Bucks Knocks Out Hunger and Stuff the Bus. These UW Bucks signature programs bring partners together to make Bucks County a stronger, healthier community.

During the breakfast, UW Bucks will honor the winners of the Dr. Stanton Kelton Service Award, the Paul Sauerbry Award, and those who have made an impact in key areas. The Kelton Award recognizes a board member who has significantly contributed to the goals of the organization. Catherine McElroy, a dedicated Community Member, is the recipient this year.

The Paul Sauerbry award honors a volunteer who has embraced leadership, encouraged volunteerism, and dedicated time and creativity to their endeavors with UW Bucks. Brian Jeter, Senior Director of Government Affairs at Comcast  is this year’s winner.

This year United Way will also be recognizing a special colleague, their office manager, Patricia Gallagher on more than 30 years of dedicated service to the agency. She will be awarded with the Distinguished Service Award which truly exemplifies her work and what it means to Live United.

Some other award winners include; SUEZ Water Technologies & Solutions, Penn Community Bank, and Bucks County Community College – just to name a few.

Tickets are available now. To join in on the fun and give back to the community, tickets can be purchased online at www.uwbucks.org/annualbreakfast or by contacting Katie Matarazzo at katiem@uwbucks.org or 215-949-1660 ext. 101.
