Lower Bucks County could see the first accumulating snowfall of the season Tuesday
While the area may wake up to snow, forecasters expect any accumulation to be minor before the storm transitions to rain.
The National Weather Service predicts the storm will start with snow early Tuesday morning.
Lower Bucks County is forecast to receive a dusting up to 1 inch of snow before the precipitation fully changes over to rain before the afternoon.
The National Weather Service said they have “high confidence this will not be a major snow event” for those along I-95.
Parts of the Poconos are expected to see much higher snow totals, with 6 to 8 inches possible.
Following the morning snow, the Levittown area is forecast to get approximately 1 inch of rain.
The area will also experience wind gusts of 20 to 25 mph starting Tuesday evening.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 42. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Monday Night: A chance of snow, mainly after 5am. Increasing clouds, with a low around 27. Calm wind becoming northeast around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Tuesday: Rain and snow, becoming all rain after 10am. The rain could be heavy at times. High near 40. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Tuesday Night: Rain, mainly before 7pm. Low around 27. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 40. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 27.
Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 40.
Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 18.
Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 33.
Friday Night: Rain and snow likely, mainly after 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 27. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
