Council Rock High School North ranked first in average SAT scores in Bucks County.
Students from Newtown Township high school who took the test scored an average of 1735, besting number two highest scoring Central Bucks East by 26 points.
The Pennsylvania Department of Education this week released a trove of data that shows the average scores for the more than 650 public high schools across the state.
The top score for an SAT is currently 2400, with the test broken up into reading, math and writing sections.
Julia R. Masterman High School in Center City, Philadelphia scored the highest in the state with an average of 1993.
Council Rock High School South in Northampton scored fifth in Bucks County with an average SAT score of 1631.
