A position at Sesame Place is a staple for area teens, one where they gain an immeasurable amount of unique and fun experiences, even during the Sesame Place interview process.
According to Human Resources Supervisor Katie Latsch, group interviews is something the company has started this year and is something that area teens won’t find most places. “It’s really been very interesting so far, it’s been a way for us to produce an interactive setting, a way for us to get to know potential hires better.”
While some teens going through the interview process may be nervous, Sesame Place leaders know and understand that. Aguilar said the group interview process has helped tailor a stressful interview experience for young people looking for their first job into a fun setting.
“We really just want to see how they interact. Are they nice, helpful, encouraging and enthusiastic?” said Aguilar, who now in management, started at the park when she was just 15.
For Aguilar, not only is working at the park a great experience and a unique one, the benefits offered to team members are second to none. Sesame Place offers its staff unlimited park admission, free passes for friends and family, in-park discounts, and ticket trades with other local theme parks.
“[At Sesame Place] we’re always giving staff opportunities for growth. Here you’ll receive good training and fun experiences that I’ve always carried through to other life experiences.”
“Just go ahead and apply, it’s a great place to work, a great place to start, and the best place to learn.” Aguilar said. Melissa encouraged all interested applicants to come visit with the park leadership team this Saturday at the Open House.
