Volunteers have stuffed more than 3,000 plastic eggs for the Newtown Business Association’s upcoming Easter Egg Hunt.
The free Easter Egg Hunt will begin promptly at 9 a.m. at Pickering Manor Field at the corner of Frost Street and Lincoln Avenue in Newtown Borough on Saturday, March 19. Starting at 8:30 a.m., the Easter Bunny will be available for children, according to organizers.
Jen Kline Clark, one of the organizers of the annual event, said the hunt is more of an egg grab. She also stated the event is broken up into seven different egg hunts for children of various ages. A special egg hunt for parents and grandparents will also be held.
Attendees will also be eligible to win prizes donated by Newtown Business Association members.
With 45 minutes, the egg hunts are over and smiling children are seen leaving the event.
Participants are asked to donate a nonperishable food item. The donated food will be given to a Lower Bucks County food bank, Kline Clark said.
On Wednesday, volunteers, including from NewtownPANow.com, gathered at Pickering Manor to help assemble the eggs in advance of the Saturday event.
