Police K-9 Unit Assists In Newtown Burglary Investigation


police-lights-11A K-9 unit from Lower Makefield assisted Newtown Township police investigate a burglary Tuesday evening.

Police said they were called to a home on Jane Chapman Drive West around 8:30 p.m. for an alarm activation. Upon arrival, the first officer checked the outside of the home and found a broken window.

Additional patrol officers and the nearest available K-9 unit, which was from Lower Makefield, were dispatched to the scene.

Authorities said they secured the home with assistance of the police dog.

The investigation was turned over to township detectives.
