Local law enforcement has stepped up patrols after a string of recent burglaries in Newtown and Wrightstown.
Newtown Township police, who also patrol Wrightstown, said they are providing extra patrols in local developments after burglaries on Jane Chapman Drive, both East and West.
Residents were warned by police not to be alarmed if they notice additional patrols.
In February, township police investigated three burglaries.
In addition to burglaries, there were numerous thefts from vehicles, including ones that were unlocked, Lt. Robert Matthews said at a recent Board of Supervisors meeting.
“You see something suspicions and it doesn’t look right, call us.”
