According to a patrol alert, a Newtown Township resident recently reported credit cards in their name were opened at Best Buy, Gap, Macy’s and Lowe’s.

The credit cards were used to purchase items like expensive saws and laptops at stores in Maryland and Washington D.C. between February 19 and February 21, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Charles Palko Jr. at 215-579-1000 ext. 277 or cpalko@twp.newtown.pa.us.
