During a routine inspection detail at Lookout Park on Wednesday, Newtown-Makefield Truck Enforcement officials noted they inspected 12 trucks, two of which were hazmat vehicles.

The detail, according to officials, resulted in three citations and one warning being issued. Officials noted that one of the two hazmat vehicles inspected was even placed out of service due to equipment and safety violations.

The Upper Makefield Township Police Department posted about the detail to residents on their Facebook page. “We will continue to strive to make our roadways safe for all,” the post read.

The department has noted that additional inspection details are scheduled throughout the spring and summer.
