The Newtown Book & Record is gearing up for their ninth ‘Record Store Day’ this Saturday; a day that brings together music fans, artists, and the independent record stores.
The event, scheduled for Saturday, April 16, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., invites music lovers from across the region to celebrate the unique culture that’s only possible inside an indy record store, according to the store owners.
The State Street store which has been open for 35 years, will even provide a full program of tunes from local musicians for enjoyment throughout the day.
