Three Council Rock Students Awarded Corporate Sponsored College Scholarships

Three Council Rock School District students were names winners in the 61st National Merit Scholarship Program, according to officials.

While more than 1,000 distinguished high school seniors won corporate-sponsored awards, three of the winners are local to the area.

Michael Zhang Lu, a student of Council Rock South and winner of the National Merit Bristol-Myers Squibb Company Scholarship, Gordon K. Bryson, a student of Council Rock South and winner of the National Merit Bristol-Myers Squibb Company Scholarship, and Emma L. Kwasnoski a Council Rock North student, winner of the National Merit Janssen Pharmaceuticals Scholarship were all selected for renewable annual stipends which can be applied to any regionally accredited college or university in the country.
