The Upper Makefield Fire Company is gearing up for their annual carnival on River Road.

The carnival, with equipment provided by Houghton Enterprises, will come to 1077 River Road in Washington Crossing beginning Tuesday, May 3 and ending Saturday, May 7. The carnival will be open nightly from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m..

Those interested in enjoying multiple rides, can conveniently purchase a wristband for $5 off off the regular price before May 3 on the Houghton Enterprises website. The wristband can be enjoyed by one person during any one night of the week long carnival.

The carnival serves as a fundraising effort to help bring money to the fire company.  According to Houghton Enterprises, in Pennsylvania alone, over 100 fairs and carnivals are held annually to help benefit local hospitals, churches, fire companies and other nonprofit organizations.
