Council Rock Student’s Artwork To Be Displayed At Capitol Building

A Council Rock student’s artwork is set to be displayed in the nation’s capitol.

Council Rock High School North student Shivanand Peri, of Newtown, was the top prize winner of the 2016 Congressional Art competition, hosted by nearby Bucks County Community College.

Peri’s artwork, titled ‘Portrait of a Friend’, will be displayed in the Cannon Tunnel of the United States Capitol Building, as part of winning the competition.

Peri’s artwork, along with other winning works from high schools across the country, will be on display in D.C. for one year.
