One person was taken to a hospital after a crash that involved a car and a deer.

Newtown Borough police told NewtownPANow.com the one-vehicle crash at State Street and Lincoln Avenue happened Monday morning. A deer struck a sedan, leaving the driver with minor injuries.

The driver was taken by the Newtown Ambulance Squad to St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown for treatment.

Along with police and medics, the Newtown Fire Association responded to the scene.

It was unclear whether the deer was injured on survived the crash.
