Political celebrations and events will be held all throughout Philadelphia on the week of the Democratic National Convention.

One of the largest events, PoliticalFest, is being put on by the host committee of the Democratic National Convention. According to the website where attendees can buy tickets to the PoliticalFest, the event “combines multi-media and interactive displays, historical objects and special guest appearances designed to entertain and engage residents and convention attendees alike.”

The event consists of seven locations. Each location offers a different type of experience for attendees to learn about the political process, Philadelphia’s history and more.

“The locations will feature different displays and attractions, including the campaign trail, Pennsylvania & the Presidency, a media zone, political entertainment, and more. There will also be a staging area for live performances, political game competitions, and panel discussions,” says the description on the website.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children and credentialed convention attendees and veterans will be admitted for free. Tickets to PoliticalFest do not grant access to the convention, however, which is a strictly credentialed event. The single ticket allows unlimited access to the events during the duration of the festivities, which run until Wednesday, July 27.

The events run from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

The seven event locations throughout center city are as follows:

  1. Pennsylvania Convention Center, Hall F, 12th and Arch Streets
  2. National Constitution Center, 525 Arch Street
  3. The Library Company of Philadelphia, 1314 Locust Street
  4. Philadelphia History Museum, 15 S. 7th Street
  5. The Heritage Center of the Union League of Philadelphia, 140 S Broad Street
  6. National Liberty Museum, 321 Chestnut Street
  7. Historical Society of Pennsylvania, 1300 Locust Street

In order to facilitate transportation between the events, a special PoliticalFest shuttle bus will be running during the event, according to the information from the ticket purchasing website.
