Bucks County’s new controller was sworn in last Wednesday.
Mike Gallagher of Newtown Township was appointed by Gov. Tom Wolf and approved by the Pennsylvania Senate to take the position of Bucks County Controller. The job has been vacant since former Controller Ray McHugh was appointed to serve as a judge last year.
Gallagher said recently he is resigning as a member of the Newtown Township Board of Supervisors.
Gallagher is a Philadelphia native who has lived in Bucks County for almost 20 years. He has served on the Newtown Board of Supervisors since 2007. He is also an active member of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians.
