The system used for instant background checks for concealed carry permits will be down Tuesday morning.

The Pennsylvania National Instant Criminal Background Check System will be down from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. for planned maintenance.

The shutdown of the system is expected to cause some delays in the processing of concealed carry permits.

Bucks County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Dennis Shook confirmed the shutdown would impact all use of the system across the state.
