The Newtown Township Police Department is on the hunt for a woman they say stole from a Staples store.

According to a press release posted on the department’s Facebook page, the unidentified woman entered the Staples store located at 10 West Road on Saturday, August 20 and stole an Epson printer reportedly valued at $500.

The press release noted that the woman entered the store alone, selected the printer, placed it in her cart and then proceeded to the entrance door of the store. When she realized the doors do not automatically open from the inside, the woman waited for an approaching customer and fled the store.

Anyone with information is asked to call Officer Daniel Clifton at 215-579-1000 ext. 324.
