Forecasters: Newtown Area To Escape Worst Of Hermine

An eastward shift by Tropical Storm Hermine means less impacts will be felt in Bucks County.

Sunday was originally forecasted to be filled with wind and rain but a briefing package released in the morning showed less rain and wind. National Weather Service forecasters said there could be wind gusts late Sunday and into early Monday and the area would get less than an inch of rain.

The change in the tropical storm’s track means there is little risk of river, creek or street flooding.
