Authorities have ruled 21-year-old Lindsey Piccone’s death at Tyler State Park a suicide.

The ruling on the death of the missing Bensalem woman whose body was discovered last week came just days after dental records positively confirmed the match between Piccone and the skeletal remains found in high brush not far from a walking trail in Northampton.

The Bucks County Coroner did not return a call for comment on the case.

Piccone’s memorial service is scheduled to take place Thursday morning.

The 21 year old worked at the Magic Cottage School in Levittown and disappeared in early September. A “vague” goodbye note was left at her Bensalem residence but it did not indicate whether she wanted to kill herself, a family member said.

A large search effort closed the park for several days and returned several times to look for Piccone in the 1,700-acre park. Her car was found abandoned in the Newtown Township portion of the state park. Searchers walked the park, rode it in vehicle and looked in waterways along with K-9 and helicopter searches with no results.

Park workers clearing brush discovered Piccone’s remains.
