The workshop is hosted by the Landmark Towns of Bucks County and the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor (D&L). The link to the online registration is available at the www.landmarktowns.com website. Participants must pre-register for the free event to receive the binder, handouts, a copy of their community’s data and a light breakfast.

Over the past 14 months, Landmark Towns has worked with Bristol Borough Business Association, Morrisville Business Alliance, Yardley Business Association and the Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce to gather the initial data necessary to build a market profile of the customers for each community. This workshop is designed to teach business owners and community partners how to interpret and use the demographic and psychographic data.

The workshop leader is Julie Fitzpatrick, assistant director and special projects coordinator for the PA Downtown Center (PDC). Fitzpatrick teaches a full-day workshop each year about gathering the raw data and using the resulting reports to Main Street Managers across the state. D&L is excited to bring her expertise to the businesses and partners of Landmark Towns.  The December 7 workshop will focus on how to interpret and utilize the data already generated by the Landmark Towns’ community partners.

“We will use the data from the town from which the most people register by Dec. 1 as the example in the workshop. Sign up early and see your town’s data come alive!” said Pam Coleman, landmark town coordinator and D&L staff member.

This workshop is made available by the D&L with funding provided in part by a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Bureau of Recreation and Conservation, Environmental Stewardship Fund.
