nr87426Lottery tickets are a common addition in Christmas stockings – even though the chances of winning are sometimes 1 in 1 million. The Center for Independent Living of Bucks County is making the chances of winning measurably more likely by selling only 700 raffle tickets for a brand-new Nissan Altima V-6 courtesy of Peruzzi Nissan in Falls Township.

The perfect size for a stocking stuffer, tickets cost just $50 each, with proceeds benefiting the Center for Independent Living of Bucks County, a nonprofit organization providing support and services to people with disabilities. The state-funded Center empowers Bucks County residents living with a disability to position themselves for greater self-sufficiency. Services are tailored to an individual’s unique needs and encompass everything from assistance with grocery shopping, to maneuvering through the obstacles involved in accessing benefits, to group peer counseling, and more.

David Rogers, a Center for Independent Living of Bucks County board member, said proceeds from the car raffle will bring in additional funds to support the expansion of the Center’s programs and services.

The Nissan Altima winner will be announced following the 12th annual Run the Gates race on June 4, 2017. The winner does not need to be present to win.
