Planning for the Newtown Business Association’s 2017 Welcome Day is underway.

Volunteers from the business community, including NewtownPANow.com, are hard at work putting together the event that will run Sunday, May 7 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Organizers are looking for volunteers. Students looking to fulfill community service hours while having fun should contact Vicki Davis at davisv@univest.net or call 215-504-2828 to sign up. Organizers said they would appreciate at least two hours of time but would like to have volunteers throughout the event.

The event – billed as Newtown’s Street Fair with Flair – is also seeking food vendors, artists and crafters and entertainment to provide a day of food and fun. Those interested in feeding the crowd or showing off  their talents, are asked to visit the Newtown Business Association’s website to register.
