Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick is currently seeking motivated college or post-graduate students to intern at the Eighth Congressional District office in Langhorne for the Spring 2017 semester.

Congressional internships are great opportunity for Bucks and Montgomery county students interested in the legislative process, public service and learning more about the inner-workings of our federal government.

Interns will join with Eighth District staff in performing a variety of tasks, including: answering phones, writing letters, assisting with constituent casework or helping with projects of importance to our community. Interns may also have the opportunity to engage in policy discussions and meetings pertaining to their areas of study or personal interest. Applicants should be available for a minimum of 10 hours per week through the Spring semester.

For consideration, please submit a resume and two letters of recommendation – one from an academic instructor and a second from direct supervisor (ie: boss, coach, or community leader) – along with a response to the prompt; “What is the role of the Legislative Branch in the United States Federal Government?” (no-longer than a two page, double-spaced)

Those interested should contact Staff Assistant Tyler Vandegrift at Tyler.Vandegrift@mail.house.gov or (215) 579-8102 with questions or to submit your application.
