Children Invited To Celebrate George Washington’s 285th Birthday

Washington Crossing Historic Park has invited the public to an event this weekend to celebrate the 285th birthday of President George Washington.

The event will be held at 1112 River Road in Upper Makefield’s Washington Crossing section on Sunday, February 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission to the event is $1.

Children, who are encouraged to bring homemade birthday cards for George Washington, will be able to enjoy activities in the historic village as well as sing Happy Birthday to Washington and enjoy cake he cut with his sword at 1 p.m.
