Newtown Library Company Set To Celebrate 15th Book Lovers Party

The Newtown Library Company is gearing up to celebrate its 15th annual Book Lovers Party event.

The annual fundraiser benefits the borough’s Library Company, the oldest continually operating library in Bucks County.

The Book Lovers Party will be held on Saturday, February 25, from 6 to 10 p.m. in the Atrium at the Stocking Works, located at 301 S. State Street in Newtown Borough.

According to a recent release, this year’s event promises to rival previous years with a selection of locally catered hors d’oeuvres and desserts, a variety of cocktails, and a DJ and dancing to round out the night, with the highlight being the Book Lovers Raffle. With tickets available at $10 each, the raffle will feature a variety of gift baskets and gift cards that have been donated from local Newtown businesses including local favorites: Newtown Jewelers, David Witchell, Newtown Theater, Veccia Osteria, Newtown Hardware, Zebra Striped Whale and the Tubby Olive. The BIG prize of the night will be The Wheelbarrow of Cheer, which is an actual full sized wheelbarrow full of wine and spirits.

Tickets can be purchased at the door of the event for $65 a person, or you can purchase tickets to ensure you reserve your spot by visiting here, by calling the library at 215-968-7659 or emailing librarian@newtownlibrary.com.
