A Philadelphia man who robbed the CVS in Newtown Borough and 20 other businesses in the region pleaded guilty recently.

David Murray, 33, was sentenced to six years and four months in federal prison, three years of supervised released, a $200 special assessment and $81,075 in restitution.

Murray and Terrell Lang, 24, were indicted by federal law enforcement of walking into the CVS on Lincoln Avenue in July 2015 and robbing the store at gunpoint. The men took a store employee into the office and took cash from a safe.

No employees were in the CVS during the robbery and the store employee was not hurt.

Aside from Newtown, Murray also pleaded guilty to robbing the Dollar General on Pine street in Langhorne Borough in September 2015.

The outcome of Lang’s case was not immediately available.
