A new pizza and Italian specialty eatery is opening in Newtown Township.

Acqua e Farina Brick Oven Pizza is located at 50 Newtown-Richboro Road at the former site of Minute Man press. In addition to the pizza,  they will be serving, they also have a wide array of salads and appetizers on the menu.

Acqua e Farina is run by Pasquale and Anna Palino, locally known restaurant operators who also run Vecchia Osteria down the street, another popular Italian eatery in Newtown.

“I want to say thank you so much to Newtown Borough, township and Bucks County for giving us the opportunity and welcoming us in this restaurant and allow us to experience the American dream,” Pasquale said.

According to Pasquale, the plan to open a new eatery came about after the couple witnessed the success and appreciation for their first restaurant in the community.

“The nice thing about local businesses is that they have local people working for them,” said Charles Swartz, the mayor of Newtown Borough. “Supporting local business is what makes a community a community.”

“Another affordable eatery in town is of course welcome,” State Rep. Perry Warren said.
