Home, Vehicle Damaged In Fire

A Newtown Township home was damaged by fire Monday afternoon.

The blaze was reported York Street around 1 p.m. and damaged at least one home and a Jeep in the driveway.

The cause of the fire was not immediately available along with information on any possible injuries.

Crews from the Northampton, Langhorne-Middletown, Yardley-Makefield and Upper Makefield fire companies assisted the Newtown Fire Association and Newtown Township Emergency Services Department at the scene. The Newtown Ambulance Squad also responded.

York Street was closed for more than an hour as emergency crews worked the scene.
