The Newtown Fire Association and Upper Makefield Fire Company were among the numerous crews who responded to a large blaze near the Delaware River in Morrisville Borough Sunday afternoon.
The fire damaged several homes on Park Avenue, which is not far from the iconic Lower Trenton Bridge that reads “Trenton Makes The World Takes.” 6abc reported that four homes were involved in the fire. Two of the homes were said to be vacant.
No injuries were reported in the fire.
The cause of the fire was not reported as of Sunday night.
Firefighters stretched hose lines into the Delaware River to muster additional water to fight the flames.
Crews from as far way as Hamilton, New Jersey responded to the scene.
