Community College Radio Station Hosting Free Outdoor Music Festival

Bucks County Community College’s student-run internet radio station, Radio BUX, invites the public to its free BUX Fest outdoor music festival from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at the Newtown campus.

The festival, featuring nine local bands, midway games, and three food trucks, takes place on the spacious quad on the campus between the Linksz Pavilion and the new Science Center. In case of rain, the concerts will be moved indoors into the nearby gymnasium.

Scheduled to perform are:

  • Beneath Polaris
  • Solar Circuit
  • Kate Dressed Up
  • The Librarians
  • Cherry Kivumbi
  • The Jawn
  • Room for Mojo Ft. Kidd Funkadelic
  • Danger Club
  • Novyy Stil’ Ft. Kidd Funkadelic – headliner

Also entertaining the expected crowds of several hundred will be house DJ Bleach Haus. Food trucks include Brazbq and Rita’s Water Ice. The midway will feature popular carnival games and prizes.
