A Wrightstown man has been arrested after he allegedly stabbed his 16-year-old brother.

Newtown Township police, who patrol Wrightstown, said in a statement that Anishimoun Jackson, 20, was arrested for allegedly stabbing his brother twice inside a residence on Washington Avenue in the Wycombe section. The incident happened around 4 p.m. Thursday.

The 16 year old was transported to St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown for treatment by a neighbor. Stab wounds to the right thigh and left rear area of his torso were treated and he was released as of Friday, according to court papers.

Jackson told detectives an altercation started after his brother was bothering him. After his brother pulled him off the bed and “swung” him around the room, he grabbed the 3.5-inch kitchen knife and hoped it would stop his brother. When it did not, he said he swung it and struck the teenager.

Detectives wrote that Jackson told them he called his older brother and knew what he did was wrong. He reportedly waited for police to arrive while a neighbor took him to the hospital.

Police officers at the scene said they found droplets of blood.

Jackson was arraigned early Friday morning on two counts of aggravated assault and simple assault. He was also charged with reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and possession of an instrument of crime, terroristic threats and harassment.

Jackson was sent to Bucks County prison on 10 percent $200,000.
