Holland Man Charged With 40 Identity Theft Related Felonies


Upper Makefield police have charged a man after a fraud investigation.

Jeffrey Jakubik, 48, of Holland, was arrested and charged with 40 felonies including 10 counts of identity theft, 10 counts of access device fraud, 10 counts of theft by unlawful taking, and 10 counts of receiving stolen property.

On January 31, an Upper Makefield Township resident reported to officers that an unknown subject has been using her credit card to make multiple unauthorized purchases. The charges were one-time bill payments submitted electronically to a Verizon Fios account, which totaled $4,781.73.

According to court documents, an investigation by law enforcement alleges that Jakubik was responsible for the unauthorized payments, as well as a one-time bill payment made electronically to T-Mobile, which totaled $326.

On Tuesday, May 30, Jakubik surrendered to police. He was arraigned and released on $50,000 unsecured bail.
