The Centre Avenue Bridge that connects Newtown Borough and Newtown Township will be closed for two days next week.
According to PennDOT, Centre Avenue will close between Sycamore Street and State Street next Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. The closure will be for structural repairs underneath the sidewalk of the bridge.
Centre Avenue will be open for local traffic up to the closure point, but all other vehicles will be detoured on Sycamore Street, Washington Avenue and State Street.
The project is weather dependent.
