The faculty of Bucks County Community College has reached a contract agreement.

The four-year contract offer from Bucks County Community College was ratified by the Bucks County Community College Federation of Teachers and will be voted on by the Board of Trustees on Thursday, September 14.

The contract, if approved by the trustees will be retroactive to August 15 and expires on August 21, 2021.

Further details on the agreement were not released as of this week.

The contract the Bucks County Community College Federation of Teachers voted to approve covers approximately 160 full-time and 500 part-time employees, said Professor John Strauss, who is faculty union president.

The union and community college began negotiations in January.

“It was an extremely constructive process from the start,” Strauss added. “Therefore, we were able to reach a contract that the faculty voted overwhelmingly to ratify.”
