The Pennsylvania Turnpike will be closed in both directions early Sunday morning.

The Turnpike will be closed between the Bensalem Interchange and the Delaware Valley Interchange in Bristol Township from 12:01 a.m. to 6 a.m. for sign installation.

Crews will erect sign structures along the Turnpike. Single lane closures and some traffic stoppages may occur Saturday night as the Turnpike prepares to close.

“Pennsylvania State Police and Turnpike personnel will be positioned at the impacted interchanges to assist drivers. Changeable message signs will also provide information on closures and detours. Motorists are encouraged to plan travel accordingly. Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions,” a statement from officials said.

Below is the official detour:

Eastbound Detour

Take Route 1 south to Street Road east, to Route 13 north. Reenter the Turnpike at the Delaware Valley Interchange.

Westbound Detour

Take Route 13 south to Street Road west to Route 1 north. Reenter the Turnpike at the Bensalem Interchange.
