UPDATED: Businesses Hit In Newtown Twp. Burglaries

Police in Middletown and Penndel are also investigating similar business burglaries. The Middletown incidents happened early Wednesday morning at Tre Fratelli and Manny Brown’s in the Summit Trace Shopping Center off the Newtown Bypass. Police said will work to determine if the crimes are connected.

Two businesses in Newtown Township were burglarized early Tuesday morning.

Marco’s Pizza at 2102 South Eagle Road was entered at 3:47 a.m. The suspect used a crowbar to smash the glass on the front door to gain entry. Before leaving the business, the suspect made off with cash, police said.

Around the same time, a similar burglary happened at the Primo Hoagies at 2100 South Eagle Road.

In surveillance video from the pizza shop, the suspect appears to be obscured by a hooded suit, a face covering and gloves.

Police are seeking information on the suspect and urge viewers to take note of his mannerisms, clothing and footwear.
