An inmate at the Bucks County Correctional Facility was found dead Sunday morning, according to a county official and sources.
A law enforcement source confirmed the death was of an inmate in the Doylestown Township facility that houses those in county custody. The source offered few further details.
“All we can confirm at this time is that there was a death yesterday morning,” county spokesperson Chris Edwards said late Monday morning.
NewtownPANow.com first became aware of the death after several readers alerted a reporter of a Facebook post about a death at the facility. This news organization was unable to confirm additional details on the post as of publication.
Edwards said the death remained under investigation.
