Car Stolen From Newtown Twp. Speeds Away From Police

A stolen Nissan Altima sped away from police after they spotted it.

The white 2007 Nissan Altima with Pennsylvania registration JJP-8455 was stolen around 2 a.m. last Friday from a residence on Northrup Court in Newtown Township. Officers were called while the theft was in progress, police said.

The vehicle was spotted Monday around 1 a.m. in Penndel Borough at the 7-Eleven on West Lincoln Highway. A Penndel officer found the vehicle in the parking lot of the gas station and convenience store and reported that it fled into Bensalem and toward Philadelphia at a high rate of speed.

The two men captured on surveillance images at the 7-Eleven are suspects and believed to be involved in overnight thefts from vehicles in Lower Bucks County, police said.
