Police Log: Multiple Thefts From Vehicles, Underage Drinking Party Busted & More

April 20

Attempted Theft From Vehicle

While investigating the motor vehicle theft on Northrup Court, officers observed a 2000 Mazda Miata parked in the area with the driver’s door slightly ajar and the glove compartment open. Police made contact with the vehicle owner who responded and verified that the vehicle had been unlocked, but that he had not left a door or the glove compartment open. The owner did not notice anything missing, but the scene was processed as a part of the investigation.

Theft From Vehicle 

Just before 9:30 a.m., police were dispatched to a Nathan Court residence for the report of a theft from a motor vehicle. The victim reported that his vehicle was unlocked and parked in his driveway and that several items had been stolen during the night. Upon arrival, police met with the victim and processed the scene. The total value of loss is approximately $215.

Theft From Vehicle 

Around noon, another Nathan Court resident reported a theft from their unlocked motor vehicle. The total value of loss is over $65.

Attempted Theft From Vehicle

At approximately 2:45 p.m.m a Grant Street resident contacted police to report an attempted theft from a motor vehicle. The complainant explained that the vehicle had been unlocked and parked in their driveway overnight. When he entered the vehicle that morning, the complainant noticed that the interior of the car had been rifled through. There was no reported loss.

Underage Drinking 

Police were dispatched to the area of Hampton Circle just before midnight for the report of a possible domestic situation. Bucks County Police Radio advised that the complainant was reporting that he had picked up his juvenile son from a party and that the juvenile son was hostile. Upon arrival, police located and made contact with the complainant and the juvenile male. The juvenile male received a citation for harassment and a citation for underage drinking.

April 21

Underage Drinking

Around midnight while responding to the area of Hampton Circle and Chatham Place for the report of a possible domestic situation, police made contact with several vehicles leaving the area and stopped them in attempt to locate anyone involved in the reported domestic. It was determined that all of the vehicles were occupied by juveniles that had come from a party at a Hampton Circle residence. 13 juveniles were issued citations for underage drinking and driving past curfew. One of the juvenile drivers was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence.

April 21

Drugs

Shortly before 2:30 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on the operator of a silver 2012 Volkswagen for committing a vehicle code violation.  Upon contact with the driver, the officer detected a strong odor of raw marijuana. Further investigation revealed that the driver had drug paraphernalia and suspected marijuana in the vehicle. Citations for disorderly conduct and driving a vehicle with an expired registration were issued.

April 24

Theft

Just after 3 p.m., police were dispatched to meet with a Newtown Township resident for the report of a theft. Upon arrival, police met with the victim who reported that her Google Chrome Book and charger had been stolen from her apartment. The total value of loss is approximately $300. Investigation is ongoing.
