Trump-Backed Congressman To Take On Democratic Senator


Republicans will have Congressman Lou Barletta to run against Democratic incumbent Sen. Bob Casey this November.

Barletta, a strong supporter of President Donald Trump, won the Tuesday primary against State Rep. Jim Christiana.

Casey, who was unopposed on the Democratic ballot, is a strong opponent to many of Trump’s moves and the son of a former governor.

A Four-term congressman, Barletta was asked by the president to run for senate.
