Man Charged For Newtown Bypass Hit-&-Run Crash

A hit-and-run crash has been solved due to tips from the public, according to Newtown Township police.

Police said the crash happened around 5 p.m. on June 30 on the Newtown Bypass at Lindenhurst Road.

An investigation uncovered that the striking vehicle was captured on an officer’s in-car mobile video recorder and an image was released to the public.

Tips from the public and witness statements led to police charging 19-year-old Robert Leonard Keck III, of Philadelphia. He was charged recently with accident involving damage, reckless driving, and following too closely via summons.
