Cops Investigate Area Package Thefts

A string of package thefts in Upper Makefield are being probed.

Police said in a press release that residents reported packages were stolen between December 26 and Thursday.

“The packages and mail are being removed from mailboxes, opened, and discarded into other residents mailboxes after stealing the cash, gift cards and property within,” police said in their statement.

The thefts have been reported in Newtown, New Hope, and Washington Crossing.

Police released an image of a vehicle driven by a woman who they are calling is a “person of interest.”
