Police Log: Retail Theft, Mailbox Damaged & More

Retail Theft

While on patrol at the CVS Pharmacy around 3:30 p.m., an officer was approached by an employee in reference to a theft that may have occurred the week prior. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

January 22

Suspicious Occurrence 

Just before 7:45 a.m., police responded to an Armstrong Circle residence for the report of a suspicious occurrence regarding a vehicle that had property damage. Upon arrival, police spoke to the complainant who explained that her daughter’s vehicle had damage to the driver’s door handle. The vehicle was parked on the street when the incident occurred, and there were no witnesses.

Criminal Mischief 

At approximately 8:15 a.m., a Cedar Lane resident contacted police to report that he saw a flash/explosion outside of his home the night before. When it occurred, he thought it might just be a friend playing a joke. However, that morning he realized that his mailbox had been damaged. The damage was valued between $80 and $100.
