Felony Lane Gang Hits Newtown Area Friday Morning

The Felony Lane Gang has returned to the Newtown area.

Newtown Township police said the thieves who travel around the country hit a daycare in Newtown Township and gym in Wrightstown almost at the same time Friday morning. Officers were dispatched around 7:20 a.m.

In both cases, officers found cars had their windows busted out and purses taken.

Police said they checked area daycare centers and gyms, which have been targets of the gang in the past.

“We urge everyone to keep your vehicles locked and your valuables out of sight at all times,” police said.

The theft ring with ties to Florida is reported to be loosely connected and has hit Lower Bucks County a number of times in the past. The group grabs cash, checkbooks, credit and debit cards, and identification from vehicles in blink-of-an-eye smash-and-grab thefts.

The Felony Lane Gang has drawn the attention of local and state law enforcement. The FBI and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations agency has been involved over the years. Members are commonly arrested, but the group continues to live on.
