Two brothers whose house blew up will attend the State of the Union address as guests of Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick on Tuesday night.

Brothers Michael, a high schooler, and Joey Mignogna, who is 10, will attend President Donald Trump’s address to lawmakers and the public. They will sit in seats in the House of Representatives chamber where the president will speak from.

The boys were unhurt when their family home in Buckingham Township exploded last month due to a propane leak, but their family lost all of their belongings.

“What happened to the Mignognas can only be described as tragic. After hearing their story, I knew I had to do whatever I could to bring attention to them and provide any relief to Michael and Joey that I could during this difficult time,” said Fitzpatrick, a Middletown Republican in his second term. “I am incredibly proud of the way that our community has rallied around the Mignogna family, and seeing the amount of support they have received does not surprise me one bit.”

The Mignognas boys and their parents were not in the home when it exploded on January 14, according to a Bucks County Herald story.
