A PennDOT project to make repairs to address underpinning on a Wrighstown Township bridge are underway.
The bridge that carries Second Street Pike (Route 232) over a branch of the Mill Creek in Wrightstown Township will have a lane closure with a flagger weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday, March 10, according to PennDOT.
The work will take place along Second Street Pike between Old Anchor Road and Bennett Lane.
The project began last week.
Motorists can expect backups and delays and are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area.
The schedule of the work subject to change due to weather conditions.
The Second Street Pike bridge was built in 1852 and carries approximately 6,455 vehicles each day.
