Residents in the Newtown area could see some sleet and snow Monday evening, according to forecasters.

Starting after 5 p.m., the area has a chance to get some sleet and snow, while some parts of the area could even see a dusting, according to the National Weather Service’s regional office.

Despite the chance to some sleet and snow, the storm is largely expected to bring rain Monday night through Tuesday morning, forecasters said.

Areas north and west of Lower Bucks County could see several inches of snow. The central and upper portions of the county are expected to see some light accumulation.
