Upper Makefield Township police reported that part of Taylorsville Road was closed Monday morning.

Taylorsville Road was closed as of Monday morning between Washington Crossing Road (Route 532) and Mt. Eyre Road due to a fallen tree blocking the roadway.

Local traffic for residents living on Taylorsville Road between Washington Crossing Road and Aqueduct Road and those residing in a development off of Aqueduct Road can access Aqueduct Road by traveling south on Taylorsville Road from Washington Crossing Road. All other traffic is advised to take an alternative route, police said.

Authorities have requested that drivers refrain from attempting to go around the road-closed barricades, whether due to following GPS instructions, unfamiliarity with the area, or other reasons.

Cyclists are also advised to avoid the closed section of the road.

Updates on the situation will be provided as the fallen tree is removed.
