May 5

Marijuana Citation

At approximately 10:30 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a Ford E-250 van operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Swamp Road and Second Street Pike. As a result of the investigation, a small amount of suspected marijuana was discovered and seized as evidence, and the operator was cited.

Retail Theft

Police were dispatched to Ace Hardware around 3:30 p.m. for the report of a retail theft. An unknown object was taken by two white male subjects that left the scene in a silver Toyota Camry prior to police arrival.

Retail Theft

Police were dispatched to Acme at approximately 8:45 p.m. for the report of a retail theft. Three juvenile subjects stole two 12-packs of Twisted Tea and left the scene in a black Audi sedan prior to police arrival.

May 6

DUI

At approximately 1:30 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a Ford Taurus operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Windy Bush Road and Durham Road in Wrightstown Township. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.

Fraud

A Newtown Township resident contacted police around 2:30 p.m. to report a fraud involving a mailed check. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

May 11

Fraud

Police were dispatched to a business located on Penns Trail at approximately 1:45 p.m. for the report of a fraud involving numerous counterfeit checks. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
